I'm Jodi Applebaum and my specialty is family photography in Lido. My work comes from a passion for visual storytelling: I aim to capture those small gestures, glances and laughs that truly tell who you are. I prefer outdoor sessions — the beach and tall grassy fields are my favorite locations — because natural light and open spaces allow emotions to surface in a spontaneous, authentic way. My training in photojournalism and more than thirty years of love for photography have taught me to seek the real moment, not the perfect pose. After studying and working as a reportage photographer, I turned my attention to families, developing a relaxed, documentary style that puts both adults and children at ease. I work with patience and a sense of humor: I know how challenging it can be to organize a session with kids, so I focus on keeping every meeting light, fun and dynamic. My approach is organized yet natural. Before the session I plan the route and the best framings for each Lido location so that every shot unfolds without forcing it. During the shoot I alternate guided moments with more spontaneous frames, moving the family and involving the children to maintain positive energy. I value speed: I usually provide an online sneak peek within 24 hours and deliver the final edited images promptly, because I know how eager you are to relive those memories.
